Operations insight
From scattered records to a clear next step.
A practical starting point for bringing information, ownership, and follow-up into one review process.

Start with the question
Before combining spreadsheets or requesting another report, define the question the work needs to answer. Are records complete? Do two systems agree? Which items need a decision? A specific question helps determine which source records belong in the review.
Make the records comparable
Identify the period, project, record owner, and version for each source. Agree on the fields used to match records, such as a project reference and reporting period. Preserve the original records and document any transformations used for comparison.
A missing record and a conflicting record call for different follow-up. Keep those distinctions visible instead of combining every unresolved item into a single error count.
Give each exception a next step
Record what was observed, the evidence supporting it, the question that remains, and the person responsible for follow-up. Include a target date and a status that reflects what has actually been verified.
A useful report brings that information together: what was reviewed, what was found, what remains open, and which action or decision is needed next.
